An abrasive waterjet is a machine which pumps a high-pressure stream of water (up to 60,000 psi) mixed with an abrasive material, through a small nozzle at speeds up to 2500 feet per second. This results in a high-speed, precise cut on almost any kind of material. The variety of operations which this cut can replace include: cutting, drilling, sawing, punching, slitting, blanking, gear cutting and profile milling.
